Dr. Kent Marchant started in the dental field as a dental assistant and truly enjoys all aspects of dentistry. He received his DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. At Tufts, Dr. Marchant received awards in fixed prosthodontics. His true passion is same-day dentistry and has extensive training in providing same-day CEREC crowns. Dr. Marchant has trained and continues to gain knowledge in the field of same-day dentistry by utilizing Cerec Technology, which allows for the placement of Inlays, Onlays, Crown, Bridges, Veneers, and even Implant Crowns. He enjoys creating beautiful smiles for his patients and loves the positive reactions he sees when patients see their new smiles for the first time.
Dr. Marchant has trained in implant dentistry with the White Cap Institute and loves to provide patients with an option to replace missing teeth with dental implants for a single tooth or even implant-supported dentures. He has also trained in advanced bone grafting and soft tissue grafting with the Russo Seminars.
Dr. Marchant has great compassion and respect for patients who have had unpleasant dental experiences in the past. He finds it a great honor to be part of helping them overcome their dental fears. This can often be accomplished with the help of Oral Conscious sedation, which Dr. Marchant has received training in through DOCS education.
As with Dr. Henrie, Dr. Marchant has studied and provides safe mercury amalgam removal protocols taught by the IAOMT. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, the Alaska Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentists. He organized and continues to host the Alaska CEREC Study club where he lectures and demonstrates the CEREC technology to other dentists in Alaska. He loves to learn about dentistry and is always searching for ways to better serve his patients.
Dr. Marchant enjoys working with people of all ages. He has three boys and one girl, and many nieces and nephews, so naturally, he loves working with children. He and his wife, Melanie, enjoy hiking, camping, fishing, and snowboarding with their family, as well as experiencing Alaska’s beautiful outdoors. He and his family love to call Alaska their Home!
