The Alaska Dental Assistant Apprenticeship Program
Health Centered Dentistry participates in the Dental Assistant Apprenticeship Program with the State of Alaska’s Department of Labor. We provide hands-on training for people with zero to limited dental experience that want to pursue a career in dentistry.
In partnership with the DOL, we utilize Penn Foster to provide further training with in-depth lessons and other learning material. Once the apprenticeship has been completed, the person can receive a certificate of completion which is honored in other states. We will also help the person complete the DANB if they’d like to complete the process to be a nationally certified dental assistant.
