What is your favorite part about dentistry?
I’d say my favorite part about dentistry is witnessing people go through their dental journeys. When I meet someone new, there are two things I notice first. One, being their teeth/smile/upper front teeth and second, being their personal hygiene. I don’t judge them but noticing it helps me understand them better because sometimes they’re insecure about it. Now that I know a little bit about dentistry, I can also discuss with them on what dentistry has to offer to treat their concerns. Oral pain is the most intolerable thing on the planet so it makes me happy to see patients leave the office with a happy smile.
What do you look forward to most during a day at HCD?
I look forward to getting my tasks completed. Everyday is different since due to everyone’s days off but as long as I can make at least 10 calls, and spend some time chart auditing, then I’ll feel accomplished.
In your opinion, what is the most beautiful place on earth and why?
The most beautiful place to me is the beach/ocean. When people say beach, they usually envision the hot, white sand with warm breeze. To me, it’s different. I love the sunny beach but I also know how to enjoy the raging clouds of crazy rainstorms on the shoreline. Growing up, I’ve always loved mermaids and “The Little Mermaid” was my given characters as my sisters were Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and Belle. I have been influenced at a young age to love it and because the beach has always been a peaceful place to me, it’s beautiful inside out.
