HCD Headlines

August 10, 2020

WE ARE CLOSED - on Monday, August 10th. Please don't show up for work, but if you do, please work for free. Your hard work will be acknowledged with a safe, social distance hug and a $10 slid to you under the table. I'm sending this notice out early to make sure you enjoy your FULL weekend!

P.S. Please note I didn't get a lot of sleep last night which means I am extra funny today in my writing. You're welcome.

From our property manager, Ben Lyons:

Signature Land Services will be replacing the concrete sidewalk adjacent to the South side of the building starting Tuesday, August 11th. We expect this work to be finished by the end of the week. During that time, the parking spaces in front of the sidewalk will not be available for use and there may be intermittent noise associated.

If you look at the schedule for the rest of the year, next year, and the year after, you will see that our regular hours are now our COVID hours. This has been done on purpose to prevent rescheduling our patients multiple times. As we've heard from our patients lately (1 or 2 of them), you can only be rescheduled so many times before you are unhappy. So, let's keep everyone happy and schedule within these new hours until further notice.

I heard a rumor... This is one of the best conferences for RDH team members. This year, you will be able to go to the conference virtually this October. They will have CE and vendors participating. Sounds like a great option for CE (and free samples when you "visit" their booth)! Check it out HERE.

Shoes past the operatory, that is. Yes, the floors look amazing thus far! DCH, DKM, and Leah did a great job in choosing flooring that is pleasing to the eye, soft to the touch, and comfortable to sleep on in a pinch. However, you may have noticed that it's a little bit louder in the hallway. (This is a literal picture of me walking down the hallway yesterday.) So, just keep in mind to not run or tap dance down the hallway in order to keep the noise to a minimum. Seriously, though, the floor looks amazing! Good job, Team Chic!
